Professional Bio
Young (29 years old), but experienced coach, i have been working with youth on the highest level for 9 years now. I am a good skilfull instructor, many of my players reached National teams (for example Domen Janc, Žiga Zatezic, Žiga Fifolt, Jure Ritlop, Krampelj Martin, Klemen Kužnik brighest 1997, 1996, 1995, 1994 generation prospects in the country all of them finnished schools, and went on eather playing basketball or to study. Im very passionate and good about what i do and i do it with great passion and motivation, as i always want to see my efforts being rewarded through players as they develop their basketball skills and as responsible individuals as well, carrying what they have learned into life, applying it on all aspects of life.
Gone through the youth ranks in Krka and injured my shoulder at an early age, where i was forced to quit.
My ex coach inspired me to take up coaching, which i did. So far, ive been working in KK Krka Novo mesto, Slovenian National Champion, former Euroleague club, Uleb Cup Finalist, ABA league finalist, 2011 Euro Cup Challenge winner, and one of the best youth systems in Slovenia, where i worked for 9 years as a youth coach in which i was in charge of developing players in Krkas youth system. I also worked as a clubs trainer in 5 schools in the region, where i was in charge for developing players aged 7 +. With all schools and selections i have been given in Krka, i have been succesful in enhancing basketball knowledge in children (Noticeable success, the smallest school in Slovenian National competition Vavta vas - 2010/2011 National Champion).
As KK Krka being a top level club in europian standards, expectations are always great, as clubs vision is a production of its own players, and i am proud to be a part of that process for almost a decade, where i worked and learned of off some great coaches who lead the senior team (Ivan Sunara, Alexandar Đikič ex Partizan coach and assistant coach in NBA, Rade Mijanovic, Drazen Anzulovic). I also had a pleasure of helping with senior team players, some that made excellent carriers (Zoran Dragič, T.J. Sorrentine, Matjaz Smodis, Sani Becirovic, Alexandar Capin, Jerome Jordan, Allen Ray, Jure Balazic, Smiljan Pavic, Klobucar Jaka…)

2013 - present: Last 2 seasons working as an Assistant Coach at Ascoli Basket in Italy
and also as a coach for Italian Prep Acedemy program which is being run by Ascoli Basket,

2012 – 2013: Assistant coach KK Krka U18/Senior B team, finnished 3rd in the country.

2011 – 2012: Assistant coach in senior team of KK Kolpa Crnomelj and a youth trainer (2nd Slovenian basketball league).
2011 - 2012 : Coach of primary school Smihel and primary school Center in charge of developing youth players
2011 - taken over players aged U-10, U-12 U-14 at KK Kolpa Crnomelj, while still beeing part of KK Krkas coaching staff, also working with Krkas youth players
2007 – 2011 : been a part of KZS national team program of scouting and following scouted region for youth talents while working as BC KRKA Youth selections coach.

I tend to be succesful in motivating youth to achieve goals, because of my relatively young age i can easily connect with young athletes and students.
Skill improvement instructor with proven record in basketball coaching and training.
I am also constantly improving my basketball playing skills and technique, so i can serve as example to players im instructing, and mostly becouse of love for the game.

2007/2008 – lead primary High school Smihel to quarter finals of national championships
2008/2009 – led high school girls team to semifinals in national championships
2009/2010 – led high school girls team to quarter finals in national championships
2010/2011 – National champion with primary school Vavta vas
2010/2011 – Champion of DKL league with Vavta vas Junior team
2010/2011 - 2nd place in DKL league with Vavta vas varsity team
Finnished 1st in almost every season while in charge of KK Krkas youth athletes, with KK Union Olimpija following in 2nd place (Euroleague team).
Can proudly say, that i have contributed in development of many young athletes that have been or are currently a part of National team selections.
